On August 19 and 20, 2023, Agribank Thua Thien Hue branch cooperated with Banking and Finance Training Center of Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City organizes an intensive training course on banking and accounting.
With the goal of improving the quality and efficiency in banking and accounting, the training course "Updating banking and accounting knowledge" has attracted the participation of nearly 80 students who are currently assistant officers. Responsible for accounting work in Agirbank system in Thua Thien - Hue province. The lecturer of the program is Dr. Dang Dinh Tan - Faculty of Accounting - Auditing (Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City) - who has many years of experience in setting up and implementing core banking systems in Vietnam. commercial banks from 2010 to present.
Speaking at the opening of the course, Mr. Nguyen Hai Quan - Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of Agribank Thua Thien Hue, shared: “We always take advantage of every opportunity to improve the professional qualifications of our staff. This course on updating banking accounting knowledge not only helps to improve the working capacity of staff but also demonstrates Agribank's commitment to quality and prestige in all our activities.”

During the two days of the course, important topics such as accounting regime, accounting work management, accounting account system and financial reporting regime for credit institutions were presented in a concise manner. detailed and vividly conveyed. Trainees are also provided with the latest knowledge on accounting policies and regimes in the banking industry. Students also gain exposure to the International Accounting Standard (IFRS 9) and how it is applied in determining expected credit losses, an important aspect of credit risk management.

The course not only provides knowledge but also provides an opportunity for accountants to meet and discuss issues arising from practice. The exchange of experiences and sharing of industry information helps them to grasp new trends and work more effectively.
One of the most important takeaways from this course is awareness of the importance of constantly learning and understanding banking. Accountants are well aware that their role is not only in performing accounting but also as an important advisory role for the Board of Directors in making business and operating decisions. They are an important contributor in ensuring banking operations take place in a safe and sustainable manner.
