EXTRACURRICULAR PROGRAM: “THE DEVELOPMENT AND INTEGRATION OF VIETNAM ACCOUNTING STANDARDS WITH INTERNATIONAL ONES”

EXTRACURRICULAR PROGRAM: “THE DEVELOPMENT AND INTEGRATION OF VIETNAM ACCOUNTING STANDARDS WITH INTERNATIONAL ONES”

In order to help students update practical knowledge about the integration of Vietnam Accounting Standards with international ones, and to help students realize what they need to do to be able to work in an international integration environment, the Department of Financial Accounting, Faculty of Accounting - Auditing of Ho Chi Minh Banking University, in collaboration with the Research and Application - SARA and the Accounting - Auditing Faculty Union, organizes an extracurricular activity program with the theme "The Development and Integration of Vietnam Accounting Standards with International Ones". The program takes place on December 9, 2023, at the Large Hall, 56, Hoang Dieu 2, Thu Duc, Ho Chi Minh City. This program provides students with the opportunity to receive career advice to solidify their knowledge foundation.

The extracurricular program was held with the participation of Ms. Tran Minh Trang (ACCA) - Head of Audit - Big 4, Mr. Dang The Hoa (ACCA, VACPA) - Deputy Director of Finance of Frasers Property Group Vietnam, and Ms. Pham Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau - Head of External Relations - Education and Training Block, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), along with the leadership, lecturers of the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing and nearly 500 students.

The program began with the opening speech by Dr. Nguyen Quoc Thang – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing.

  The next part of the program was the presentation on the extracurricular activity theme “The Development and Integration of Vietnam Accounting Standards with International Ones” by two speakers, Tran Minh Trang and Dang The Hoa.

 

 

     The students participated in the exchange, received gifts from the speakers and organizers

Through the presentations of the two speakers, the students were able to visualize the development and integration of Vietnam’s Accounting Standards with international ones. The students also gained career guidance that could help them develop their future careers related to the field of accounting and auditing.

In addition, the extracurricular program also brought students closer to ACCA - The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Ms. Pham Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau, Head of External Relations - Education and Training Block, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), shared about the study program and exam for obtaining the certificate in International Financial Reporting (CertIFR & DipIFR) and information about the ACCA Virtual Finhack 2023 competition to all students.

Finally, the Organizing Committee would like to express their gratitude to the speakers, teachers, and students who contributed to the success of the program. We hope that in the future, HUB students will have more opportunities to participate in beneficial and interesting programs.
