Implementing the training philosophy of "Liberation, Interdisciplinary, Experiencing", in order to support students to approach and learn about real working conditions at leading enterprises in the field of accounting and auditing in Vietnam, the university Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City in conjunction with KPMG Vietnam Co., Ltd (KPMG Vietnam) held a seminar with the topic "Opportunities and challenges for the accounting - auditing profession in the new scene" within the framework of the signing ceremony of cooperation agreement between Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City and KPMG Vietnam on the morning of January 11, 2023.
At the beginning of the talk, Mr. Tran Dinh Vinh, Deputy General Director of KPMG Vietnam, introduced a few details about the company, according to which the company has been present in Vietnam for 29 years and currently has more than 1,700 employees, providing a variety of products and services for customers such as accounting, auditing, consulting, tax and establishment of management information systems. Sharing about internships, Mr. Vinh said that students do not need to wait for the 4th year to practice, but should find opportunities to do internships from year 2 and 3 so that students can quickly get used to the pressures of work. job. He also shared his journey to auditing, his experiences and requirements of the profession as well as some happy and sad memories during his more than 27 years working at this unit. Thereby instilling fire in the students about perseverance and efforts to be successful in the accounting - auditing career.
The students were also very excited to ask questions about the opportunity to practice and work at KPMG Vietnam, about the opportunity to develop themselves and work abroad, etc. Through the answers of Ms. Le Nguyen Thuy Mai - Senior Human Resources Manager, Mr. Pham Ngoc Hung - Head of Human Resources Department, the students had a better understanding of the process of recruiting internships and working at KPMG Vietnam, career opportunities as well as experiences to prepare for internship recruitment, work and career development in the future.
The seminar has ended but will begin a new cooperation between Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City and KPMG Vietnam, in order to provide students with opportunities to hone their knowledge and skills to improve their skills.
