The use of data science in accounting and auditing is becoming a popular trend to enhance the accuracy and transparency of accounting data, towards smart governance, digital economy and digital society. In order to create a forum for scientists, lecturers, professional associations, employers, alumni and students to participate and provide further scientific and practical arguments; Propose solutions to state management agencies, training institutions in the economic, accounting, auditing, finance sectors and Vietnamese enterprises in promulgating, applying and renewing development policies, regimes and strategies; Improve teaching programs and methods to suit the new situation, meeting the trend of international integration, the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing in cooperation with the Institute of Science and Technology organized a university-level scientific conference with the topic: "Trends, solutions to develop and ensure the quality of training programs in accounting and auditing in the context of interdisciplinary integration, digital transformation and international integration".
After more than two months of preparing and sending invitations, the conference received many papers with very diverse, interesting, and useful topics from a large number of experts, entrepreneurs, researchers, professional organizations, lecturers and students inside and outside the university. All submitted papers are subjected to a rigorous review and editing process before being accepted for publication in the proceedings and presented at the conference. Papers address the following main topics:
- The demand for accounting and auditing human resources in the context of digital transformation and international integration.
- Outcome standards in accounting and auditing in the context of digital transformation and international integration.
- The trend of integrating business processes, accounting and auditing in the conditions of digital transformation.
- Application of data science in accounting and auditing activities.
- Cooperation in training, training and internship between schools and businesses for students in accounting and auditing.
The conference took place on May 25, 2024, with the attendance of guests representing professional associations, businesses, and universities. The Ho Chi Minh City Banking University (HUB) was fully represented by the University Board, faculty leaders, lecturers, and students from the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing.

Opening remarks, Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Rector of the HUB emphasized that Digital Accounting training is the strength of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing. He said that we live in an era where interdisciplinary integration, digital transformation and international integration are not only trendy keywords but also important driving forces shaping the future of many industries, including accounting and auditing. He highly appreciated the conference for following the direction of digital transformation, interdisciplinary training of the university as well as the trend of connecting with professional associations and businesses in training and scientific research when innovating training programs for accounting and auditing.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Hang Nga, Head of Management Accounting Department, Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, HUB, opened the presentation with the topic: "Improving the quality of accounting and auditing human resources in the context of digital transformation". She emphasized that the demand for accounting and auditing human resources in Vietnam today is huge, improving the quality of accounting and auditing human resources is essential to ensure success when applying technology and adapting to the new working environment, by updating the curriculum, creating a multidisciplinary learning environment, working closely with businesses, and continuing support after graduation, higher education institutions can help prepare high-quality accounting and auditing human resources for the modern workplace.

Following the program, Dr. Nguyen Minh Nhat, Head of the Banking Business Administration Department – Faculty of Banking – HUB brought to the conference a presentation with the topic: "Detecting credit card fraud using machine learning methods: group approach to decision tree model". The paper presented impressive survey numbers regarding the effectiveness of tree-based machine learning models, especially decision tree models and random forests, in the context of credit card fraud detection. These findings confirm the value of tree models in modern financial security systems, enhancing the ability to effectively prevent credit card fraud.

Responding to the training orientation of HUB "Learning through experience", Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan – Deputy General Director of Viet Talent Accounting and Auditing Co., Ltd. presented the topic of “Cooperation between schools and businesses to bring value to students. Case study at Viet Talent Auditing and Accounting Co., Ltd”. The presentation summarized some of the benefits achieved and analyzed the existences of the cooperation relationship between the school and businesses in accounting and auditing training in recent years and proposed future connection directions, including facilitating organizational coordination for students to experience, establishment of a specialized department for personnel fostering, contribute ideas to develop programs, compile curricula, curricula, ....

At the end of the presentation, Pham Di Cat Tuong, a student of class HQ11 brought a perspective from students on "Opportunities and challenges of Vietnam's accounting industry in the digital age". The participants of the conference highly appreciated the awareness of students of HUB about digital transformation and also conveyed the desire that students need to improve their initiative, self-study and self-research, to meet the competency framework of finance and accounting workers according to the needs of society. The conference also received a lot of discussion from professional associations, businesses, faculties and departments in the university.

After the discussion of the guests at the conference, Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung, Rector of HUB delivered the closing speech of the conference. He highly appreciated the comments of the guests at the conference and affirmed that these ideas will be of great value for the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing to refer to when reviewing and developing training programs in accounting and auditing, thereby emphasizing to build a good training program that needs to be product-centered. In particular, HUB and the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing need to have modern facilities; Lecturers need additional training and retraining to meet the trend of interdisciplinary training and digital transformation; the school imports learning materials, cooperates with foreign universities so that students can study in exchange form; Incorporate businesses for students to experience in the real world. At the same time, he also added very new information that the HUB library is in the stage of improvement and upgrade, meeting the requirements of interdisciplinary training, digital transformation and international integration in training and research activities of the university. The library is an open space for training and scientific research activities. This information received the response and excitement from lecturers and students throughout the conference.
